WHY??
"Not In Vein" was born from the experience of welcoming our daughter, Denver Coleman, into the world. It is a reminder that her life has profound meaning - as do the lives of all children born with Vein of Galen Malformation (VOGM). Their lives are NOT in vain!
Denver's arrival was unexpected. We already had a family of five! Her diagnosis with VOGM was definitely an unforeseen twist. However, her experience has given us tremendous hope and purpose. Denver was the first baby in America to undergo a successful brain surgery while still in utero to treat VOGM. Her journey gives us great faith that she can serve as a beacon of hope for the next generation of VOGM babies.
By sharing Denver's story, we aim to rewrite the narrative of VOGM diagnosis and treatment, providing support and comfort to families facing similar challenges.
